Giving Tithe to the Church has been a practise for a long time. Some even debate why we should give tithe. The Bible not only instructs us but also challenges the one who gives tithe as to see if God will not open the windows of heaven and pour out the blessing.
Malachi 3:10 (NKJV)
10 Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, That there may be food in My house, And try Me now in this,” Says the LORD of hosts, “If I will not open for you the windows of heaven And pour out for you such blessing That there will not be room enough to receive it.
But, being in Christian life since birth, I have seen people who have been giving the tithe for a very long time, have never been blessed; have always been in want.
Why?
Does God lie? Is the Word of God fake?
God says that He will open the windows of heaven and pour out the blessing that you will not be able to contain. But, how does He bless us in such a way that we will not have enough room to contain the blessing. Is He pouring out dollars? Is He pouring out things from the windows of heaven? How?
How does He bless us?
He blesses us when we give tithe by giving ideas to prosper. Because this is the way God originally intended in the Garden of Eden to prosper. To understand this better, please read my article on God’s Will. Only by this method of blessing, we can succeed in life without sweat which was The Curse in the Garden of Eden to Adam. Jesus restored to man what he lost in The Fall.
Genesis 3:19 (NKJV)
19 In the sweat of your face, you shall eat bread Till you return to the ground, For out of it, you were taken; For dust you are, And to dust, you shall return.”
But the question is “Will just be having ideas help in prospering or becoming a success?”. The answer is certainly “No”. You must execute it. Does God help in executing it? Yes. He says that He will teach you the way you should go.
Psalm 32:8 (NKJV)
8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye.
God gives ideas and instructions to execute them to succeed. But, Christians, without recognizing this mechanism of blessing, give the Tithe to the Church as if they are helping the ministry to grow. Of course, God asks us to give tithe so that there may be food in His house. But, He does not take the Tithe from us without repaying it with blessings in return; which the same verse itself says.
Once you understand this mechanism, it becomes very easy to understand God’s guidance and walk with Him.
So, when you give tithe, expect God to give you ideas in everything you do. Then, you don’t have to rely on anyone else for guidance.
